A teenager died in a collision of two boats in the Rostov region

In the Rostov region, a criminal case was opened into the death of a teenager as a result of a collision of motor boats on the Kagalnik River. This was reported on September 17 in the press service of the Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation, a collision of a Baida-type motor boat with a Kazanka-type metal rowing boat occurred on September 15. At that time, there were five people on board the second boat, one of whom was a minor (born in 2005).

So, in a collision, a boat of the Kazanka type capsized and a teenager, falling overboard, died of asphyxia as a result of drowning in the water.

“In accordance with Art. 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, the navigator of the motor boat “Baida” was detained. The investigator of the Rostov Investigation Department on Transport, together with the forensic investigator of the Investigation Department, conducted interrogations, appointed the necessary examinations, organized a set of investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances, causes and conditions that led to the tragedy, ”the agency said in a message published on Telegram- channel.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of water transport by a person negligently entailed the death of a person).

On July 16, two boats collided at the Pavlovsk reservoir in the Nurimanov district in Bashkiria. According to Izvestia, there were five adults and a child on the boats. According to preliminary data, two people were injured in the collision.
