Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the city of Vasilyevka in the Zaporozhye region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the city of Vasilyevka in the Zaporozhye region. This was announced on February 26 by the administration of the settlement in an interview with an Izvestia correspondent.

“At the moment, six arrivals are known. Information about casualties and destruction is being specified,” the administration said, adding that the shelling took place between 06:00 and 07:00.

In addition, Izvestia obtained footage of the shelling of the city.

The day before, February 25, Izvestia correspondent Mary Badunts showed the consequences of the shelling of the bus station in Vasilyevka. Then, as a result of the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a civilian was wounded. An investigator of the 125th Military Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee confirmed the information that the attack on the city was carried out from an American M777 howitzer.
