Canada will strengthen the logistics hub through which its aid to Ukraine flows

Canada is expanding the logistics hub in Scotland to speed up arms and ammunition deliveries to Ukraine and allies on NATO’s eastern flank.

According to the Canadian CBC, this was announced by Minister of Defense Anita Anand, writes European Truth.

She said that another – already the third – CC-130 aircraft and more military personnel will be involved in the transportation.

“We are expanding the ways of helping Ukraine and delivering military aid to Ukraine, supplying even more,” Anita Anand said.

The minister added that all NATO countries have to find a balance between effectively helping Ukraine and meeting the needs of their own armed forces.

Earlier this week, Canadian media learned that Ukraine had asked the Canadian government for armored vehicles, howitzers and winter uniforms for the military. Back in the summer, it was known that Canada was ready to provide 39 armored personnel carriers, and this issue was discussed with industrialists.

As reported, at the end of August, an aviation detachment of Canadian troops in the Middle East, which supported anti-terrorist operations and UN peacekeeping missions in Africa, was transferred to Britain to support Ukraine.
