Columnist called the reason for the possible removal of Biden from power

US President Joe Biden may be removed from decision-making, because, declaring his readiness to enter into conflict on the side of Taipei in the event of an armed clash between Taiwan and China, he violated the principle of “strategic ambiguity” in American foreign policy. This opinion was expressed by Gordon Chan, a columnist for 19Fortyfive.
Regular Strait: Why Tension Around Taiwan Doesn’t End
And can China’s constant patrolling of the region stop American provocations?

According to him, with his statement, the head of the White House dramatically changed the country’s long-term course in the international arena, which was built on the principle of “strategic ambiguity.”

This approach allowed Washington to keep secret its true intentions in the Taiwan issue, Chan said.

He noted that after Biden’s interview, senior officials from his administration assured that US foreign policy had not changed, thereby refuting his claims.

“Biden is the commander in chief. He is constitutionally responsible for shaping US foreign policy. However, his subordinates directly contradicted him, effectively using their powers, ”the columnist emphasized.

The turmoil in the US presidential administration could have real consequences, given that the world is moving into a state of constant turbulence, Chan concluded.

Biden announced his readiness to defend Taiwan in the event of a military conflict between the island and China on September 18. At the same time, he stressed that the United States does not encourage Taiwan to gain independence from China.

On August 2, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan. In response, the PRC troops launched large-scale live-fire exercises around the island. On August 10, the official representative of the Eastern Zone of the Chinese Army Combat Command, Shi Yi, reported on the successful completion of the assigned tasks off the coast of Taiwan.
