For Ukrainian women fighting breast cancer during the war: a charity “pink run” will be held

In Ukraine, an international charity race Race for the Cure was announced to support Ukrainian women who are fighting breast cancer during a full-scale war.

The initiative is launched by the Inspiration Family support fund for adult cancer patients.

The “Pink Run”, as the organizers call it, will take place online, so anyone from anywhere in the world can take part.

The goal of the initiative is to collect 300,000 hryvnias for the purchase of a vital drug, as well as to draw attention to the importance of timely screening for cancer.

To take part in the online race, you need to register on the official website and pay a charitable contribution of 15 euros. Organizers invite participants to wear pink between October 15 and 31 and run or walk any distance near their home in a park, stadium or running track: alone or with friends. All collected funds are converted into medicines for Ukrainian patients.

“Last year, we held a big pink race at VDNG, which united teams of oncologists, patients and their relatives, and there were many people who simply supported the Race for the cure movement. The more people join, the more visible we make breast cancer in Ukraine and how it can be prevented,” emphasizes Anna Uzlova, director of the Inspiration Family Foundation.
