Great Britain expressed support for the demilitarization of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant

Britain supports the demilitarization of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP), said the country’s permanent representative to the UN Barbara Woodward on Tuesday, September 6.

“We will listen to what Director General [IAEA Rafael] Grossi has to say, but in general, the Russians need to leave, this is how it should be done,” TASS quoted her as saying.

Earlier in the day, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) informed the UN Security Council of the results of the mission at ZNPP. The mission arrived at the ZNPP territory on the afternoon of 1 September. During the visit to the ZNPP, the delegation looked at fragments of rockets fired by Ukrainian nationalists.

At the same time, as Alexander Volga, head of the Energodar administration, noted, the main emphasis during the display of the projectile was on the fact that the fragments found at the explosion site correspond to the American multiple rocket launcher system.
