Earlier, on September 30, Kovalenko defeated pop-MMA fighter Artem Tarasov as part of the REN TV Fighting Tournament by unanimous decision. At the same time, Kovalenko demonstrated an advantage over his opponent for two rounds, which the referee could not help but appreciate.
