Russian tennis player Andrey Rubley won the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) tournament in Spain on October 16.

In two sets, he beat the American Sebastian Korda. The meeting, which lasted 77 minutes, ended with a score of 6:2, 6:3, Sport-Express adds.

The prize fund of the competition exceeds €675,000.

Earlier, on October 8, it was reported that Russian Daniil Medvedev withdrew after the second set from the semifinal match against Serbian Novak Djokovic at the ATP 500 tennis tournament in Astana. With the score 6:4, 6:7 (6:8), he refused to continue the match due to injury. Thus, at the end of the tournament, the athlete lost first place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals.
