The authorities of Zaporozhye warned about the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine offensive in the ZNPP area

Ukrainian troops are preparing for a big offensive in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Artillery installations are currently being transferred, Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region, said on Monday, September 12.
Nuclear disruption: what threatens the shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP
As a result of another attack, the Kakhovskaya high-voltage line was damaged

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing a big offensive in the area of the nuclear power plant, crossings and a little to the east. <…> A large number of heavy guns, M777 howitzers and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) are being transferred, ”he said on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

The day before, in an interview with Izvestia, Rogov said that the only solution to stop shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (APU) is to suppress firing positions, destroy the artillery and multiple launch rocket systems that are used by the Ukrainian side.

According to him, the practice with the Zaporozhye NPP has shown that if the Russian army turns on and suppresses the points from which the shelling is taking place, and also destroys HIMARS or M777, then silence lasts from several hours to several days.

At the same time, he stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine constantly make targeted breaks in power lines, strike barns and granaries with guided missiles, hit warehouses with hay, straw and grain with shells.

On the same day in the morning it became known that the sixth power unit was stopped at the Zaporozhye NPP. In recent days, the only operating power unit of the station has been operating at minimum capacity. The authorities of the region noted that the Kyiv regime is trying to create problems for the operation of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in order to disable it and achieve a shutdown.

Prior to that, on September 9, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi called for an immediate cessation of all shelling in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant due to the critical situation in the power supply of the station.

The nuclear power plant is located on the left bank of the Dnieper near the city of Energodar. This is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity.
