The new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Antonio Tajani, had his first telephone conversation in office with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba.

“I appreciate that Antonio Tajani had his first telephone conversation with me as Italian Foreign Minister. A clear signal of the priorities of the new government. I wished him every success and stressed that the immediate priority now is the rapid provision of air defense systems to Ukraine,” the message says. .

Tajani on Friday received the position of foreign ministers in the new government of Georgia Meloni. He was President of the European Parliament from 2017 to 2019. Tajani will also be Deputy Prime Minister.
