US representative to the UN rejects the country’s desire for conflict with Russia

The United States of America does not seek military conflict with Russia. This was announced on Thursday, September 8, by US Deputy Ambassador to the UN Richard Mills at a meeting of the Security Council of the organization for the supply of weapons to the Kyiv regime.

“I would like to make it clear that the US does not use force against Russia. President [US Joe] Biden has been open about the fact that the United States does not seek war between the US and Russia,” he said.

The American diplomat stressed that Washington is serious about the issue of illegal distribution of weapons supplied to Ukraine. However, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN at the same meeting doubted that the leadership of the Western countries was not aware of the established channels for the supply of foreign equipment to the global black market through the efforts of Ukrainian corrupt officials.

Vasily Nebenzya also warned that the indirect confrontation between the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia, which has formed in the war zone in Ukraine, only increases the risk of a direct clash between the Russian Federation and the alliance.

In addition, the Russian diplomat noted the leading role of the bloc in the actions of the Kyiv regime and recalled the number of foreign instructors in Ukraine. At the same time, the supply of Western-style weapons will not change the existing balance of forces and the course of the Russian special operation.

At the same meeting, UN Deputy Secretary General Izumi Nakamitsu expressed concern about large-scale arms supplies to Ukraine.

On June 29, NATO leaders called Russia the most significant and direct threat to the security of the alliance. At the same time, it was noted that NATO expects to maintain channels of communication with Moscow to reduce risks and prevent escalation.

On August 16, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the military activities of NATO member countries had taken the form of an absolutely anti-Russian orientation. He stressed that significant forces from the United States have already been deployed to the continent, and the number of coalition troops in Eastern and Central Europe has grown significantly.
