Along with a handful of flagship gadgets, Xiaomi presented the new MIUI 14 firmware at the December presentation. In it, the company emphasized optimization and speed of operation. Yes, the weight of the system has decreased by 3 GB, and the amount of software that cannot be removed has decreased to a minimum. Which smartphones in China will get it first?
Test builds of MIUI 14 appeared already this month. The following models received them: Xiaomi 12S/12S Pro/12S Ultra/12 Pro Dimensity, Xiaomi 12X/12/12 Pro, Xiaomi Mix 4, Xiaomi Mi 11/11 Pro/11 Ultra, Xiaomi 11 Youth Edition (Mi 11 Lite 5G) , Xiaomi 10S, Xiaomi Civi/Civi 1S, Redmi K50 Extreme Edition/Gaming Edition, Redmi K50/K50 Pro, Redmi K40S, Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, Redmi K40/K40 Pro/K40 Pro+, Redmi Note 11T Pro/11T Note 11 Pro /11 Pro+ and Redmi Note 10 Pro.
The final builds of MIUI 14 will be released in January 2023, but only flagships will receive them first: Xiaomi 12/12 Pro/12 Pro and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.
Tablets will start receiving the new firmware in April. They include all current models: Xiaomi Pad 5/5 Pro 5G/5 Pro 12.4 and budget Redmi Pad.
It is not known when the rest of the smartphones will receive final assembly. Also, nothing is known about the global announcement of the firmware. Most likely, it will take place together with the global presentation of the Xiaomi 13 flagships, which received the new MIUI already “out of the box”.
