IT-army of Ukraine attacked the Russian system “Platon”

The hacktivists of the Ukrainian IT army managed to block the Russian Platon system. It is used to collect fees from owners of heavy vehicles for moving on highways. Blocking “Platon” will reduce the flow of funds to the budget of the Russian Federation.

The Platon system is designed to withhold payment for overweight from trucks with a permitted weight of 12 tons or more. In the Telegram channel, Ukrainian hacktivists reported that they received confirmation of the digital blocking of Platon from the carriers Pony Express and Business Lines .

The project to create an IT army was launched by the Ministry of Digital Development immediately after the start of the Russian invasion. The community of like-minded people took upon itself the neutralization of the enemy in the information space. The number of IT-army exceeds 200 thousand people. The members of the community are both Ukrainian and foreign “IT people”. The IT army has successfully attacked the resources of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Gazprombank, Gazprom Corporation, etc. In total, hacktivists managed to disable over 900 resources.
