Out now via Disciple Records, Akeos’ EP is a statement-making affair not for the faint of heart.
Akeos is unleashing her killer instinct.
Of course the EDM.com Class of 2022 producer has long harnessed a second nature ability to turn heads with a combination of hard-hitting sound design and otherworldly environments. But with her brand new Bloodlust EP, the stakes have never been higher.
That’s partly because Akeos is continuing to rapidly ascend the bass music hierarchy, and she’s now landed her Disciple Records debut with her latest EP.
Akeos fittingly lands a fierce first impression, launching into the statement-making project with “Comin’ With Me” alongside Telemist, a spitfire dubstep track with a melodic flare inspired by old school rave music. She continues with quick-hitting volleys on “Fate,” a track that rallies into a blistering barrage of bass on the back of soaring, cathartic melodies.
The project is far from a dubstep-dedicated feature, however. Akeos successfully parlays her sound into intriguing takes on house and drum & bass as well with “Try Again” and “Bleeding Candle,” respectively. With the latter, she gets the heart racing with mind-bending distortion and pummeling basslines that drive the track into a furious finish.
