  • Carrie Underwood performed at the CMT Music Awards over the weekend, and she looked beyond spectacular!

  • The 40-year-old “Before He Cheats” singer wore not one, but two epic outfits — both of which showed off her fantastically long (and toned) legs.

  • Carrie has always been so disciplined with her exercises. So much so that she even has her own app: Fit52. Her go-to workouts include running, weightlifting and doing exercises with resistance bands.

Carrie Underwood performed at the CMT Music Awards on April 2, and she cycled through not one, but two next-level outfits.

First, the 40-year-old songstress hit the red carpet in a (super sparkly) shorts suit that showed off miles of toned legs. Then, she performed her new single “Hate My Heart” in yet another shorts suit — this one was black and covered with red hearts, and also showed off her super strong legs.

Carrie is all about a good legs moment. Like, just check out this clip from her “Hate My Heart” video:

And this one from her tour:

Of course, Carrie has been open about how hard she works in the gym. While she was on tour, she and her trainer, Eve Overland, hosted several fitness classes sponsored by Body Armour that, as she pointed out on Instagram, were “pretty hardcore.” She added, “I’m always pushing myself to become better, faster, and stronger.”

Carrie recently shared a five-minute HIIT workout with Overland with Popsugar and, whew — it’s intense. The two did a bunch of squats, low lunges, jump squats and low jumping jacks, among other things.

Carrie also has a fitness app called Fit52, and she regularly shares her own workouts from the app on Instagram. Her legs workout, for example, cycles through fire hydrants, side lying leg lifts, bulldog floor squats and standing hamstring curls.

Carrie recently told People that she works out to be healthy — not to be a certain size. “I feel like earlier in my career I was working out more to be a certain size or fit into a certain aesthetic that I thought I wanted to be,” she said. “And now I feel like I work out more to be strong and to have energy and longevity.”

Carrie said that she’s learned that fitness “is a lifestyle, it’s balance. It is overall taking care of yourself.” Beyond that, Carrie said that her go-tos include running on the treadmill, lifting weights and doing exercises with resistance bands.

When she works with Overland, though, she goes hard. Overland previously told WH that Carrie’s sessions are usually 90 minutes long. “Carrie is always up for a challenge,” she said. “She loves to push her body. She continues to grow by trying new things and practices until it is mastered. She is a machine.”

Get it, Carrie!
