Cristiano Ronaldo offers shelter in hotel he owns while Morocco players give blood after devastating earthquake
A hotel owned by Cristiano Ronaldo has become a shelter to victims of the horrifying earthquake in Morocco.
The High Atlas region of the country was hit by a 6.8-magnitude earthquake, which has claimed the lives of more than 2,122 people with over 2,421 injured and many more missing.

Ronaldo has offered his support by making the Pestana CR7 Marrakesh hotel available to victims seeking shelter from the natural disaster.
The four-star hotel has 174 rooms and is seen as one of the most beautiful venues in the city and usually charges around £130 a night.
The old town area of Marrakesh has been badly affected by the earthquake and several buildings and walls have collapsed.
The district is renowned for its narrow alleyways, which have become impassable as a result of the damage.
And the town square has become an emergency shelter, as well as Ronaldo’s hotel, which can give as much aid as it can.
The Morocco senior men’s team have also been doing their bit by giving blood to survivors.
Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi was among those to give blood in a video message was sent by the team.

Morocco were set to play Liberia on Saturday in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
But the match, 127 miles from Marrakesh, was cancelled as a result of the earthquake.
Lionel Messi has sent his best wishes in a message to those affected by the natural disaster.
In an Instagram story, he wrote: “My condolences to all the families of the victims of the earthquake in Morocco and all the strength for the injured and the people who were affected by the terrible catastrophe.”
Moroccan King Mohammed VI declared three days of national mourning and has ordered those who can help to give everything they can to victims.
The earthquake was the largest the country has felt since 1960 where up to 15,000 were killed.
And while the epicentre of the quake was believed to be in the mountains of High Atlas, the tremors could be felt more than 200 miles away, including in the capital Rabat.
