NORTH ANDOVER — The Essex Chamber Music Players will feature four composers whose last name begins with “B” on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m. at the North Parish Meeting House, 190 Academy Road.
They include Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s Trio in G Major for flute, violin, cello, and piano; Ernest Bloch’ On Jewish Life for cello and piano featuring guest cellist Daniel Lelchuk; Mélanie Bonis’ Suite en Trio for flute, violin, and piano, and Johannes Brahms’ Trio in E flat major Op. 40 for violin, cello, and piano. Stargazing postponed to Saturday
HAVERHILL — Due to cloudy skies in the forecast, the Stargazing event at Tattersall Farm has been postponed to Saturday, Nov. 11, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the farm, 542 North Broadway. The event was originally scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9.
Check Tattersall Farm’s Facebook page at facebook.com/Tattersall Farm on the day of the event to confirm. Mike McDougal and Ken Muise, a local amateur astronomers and members of the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club, will have telescopes set up to look through and will share views of nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, and planets. Follow the red glow sticks from the parking lot to the observing area, but please do not use flashlights or flash photography as you approach the telescopes, to preserve guests’ night vision. The use of insect repellent is suggested.
Hillie Hockey 50-year celebration planned
HAVERHILL — Haverhill High School alumni will host a celebration honoring 50 years of Haverhill High School hockey and the 1973-1974 hockey team, the school’s first, on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 4 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Skating Rink during Haverhill’s game against Shawsheen Tech, whose coach Chuck Baker played for the Hillies. All former players, coaches, trainers and other associated with Hillie hockey are encouraged to attend the game. A reception will be held after the game with location to be announced.

VFW Santa Parade registration Nov. 10
HAVERHILL — This year’s 59th annual Lorraine Post 29 VFW Santa Parade will be held Sunday, Nov. 19, starting at 1 p.m. The parade theme is “Candyland Christmas!”

Pentucket Kiwanis Wine Tasting Party
HAVERHILL — The Pentucket Kiwanis will hold its third annual Wine Tasting Party and dinner to raise money for scholarships and other charitable endeavors on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maria’s Galleria, 85 Essex St. Also enjoy live jazz, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, and a full liquor cash bar.
A $45 donation is requested per person. A table of eight is $325. Proceeds support the club’s charitable efforts.
