May 4, 2023
The wait is over, and now it’s time for boxing fans to get set for the showdown between Gervonta “Tank” Davis and “King” Ryan Garcia as one of the biggest matchups in recent memory takes center stage on Saturday in Las Vegas. As you’d expect, especially with the fight taking place in the gambling center of the universe that is Las Vegas, there is plenty of interest at the betting window on Davis vs. Garcia and no shortage of different plays you can make, from picking a straight-up winner to the exact round in which the fight will finish.
Davis is currently sitting as a comfortable — though not massive — favorite with a line of -230, meaning you would have to bet $230 to win $100. Garcia’s underdog line sits at +190, or $190 in winnings on a $100 bet.
According to the oddsmakers, the most likely outcome for the fight is Davis by knockout at -140 and the most likely round in which he scores that stoppage listed at Round 7, at +800.
“Everything is catching up to you. Everything is coming to a halt for you on Saturday night. You’re gonna learn the hard way,” Garcia said. “What an honor to be here. This is a dream come true. I’m seeing my face on the big screens at MGM and this is what I’ve dreamed of since I was a little boy. I’m very happy and excited. I don’t have much to say really, I’m just staying focused and preparing. I know there’s a big task at hand, but I’m gonna come out victorious.”
The undercard in Las Vegas is loaded up with interesting matchups before we get to the main event. Secondary WBA super middleweight champion David Morrell is back in action when he takes on late-replacement Yamaguchi Falcao in the co-main event. Morrell is hoping to earn his shot at Canelo Alvarez and the undisputed crown at 168 pounds if he continues to win.
Plus, a rematch is set for the main card when veteran Gabriel Rosado takes on Bektemir Melikuziev at super middleweight. Rosado scored one of the biggest upsets of 2021 when he shockingly stopped Melikuziev. Rosado was expected to face Gilberto Ramirez earlier this year, but that fight fell apart when Ramirez badly missed weight.
There are tons more ways to pick and bet on this fight and you can peruse those options below with lines from Caesars Sportsbook.
