Investigative journalist Jeff Herman stabbed to death in Las Vegas

In Las Vegas, investigative journalist Jeff Herman was found dead from stab wounds outside his home on the morning of September 3rd. This was reported on Sunday, September 4, by the Las Vegas Review Journal, citing the city’s police.

Las Vegas police officers found Jeff Herman dead with stab wounds around 10:30 am (20:30 Moscow time) on Saturday, September 3, after a call that went to 911.

According to preliminary data, the stabbing happened during a quarrel that took place outside the house.

“We have some leads. We are pursuing a suspect, but his identity remains unknown at this time,” Las Vegas police spokeswoman Dori Coren said.

Law enforcement officials stressed that the investigation is a top priority.

Jeff Herman was known for investigating government crimes and political scandals, and also covered the 2017 mass shooting at a music festival that killed 60 people and injured more than 400.

Earlier, on August 22, in the western Mexican state of Guerrero, Fredid Roman, a journalist, owner of the newspaper La Realidad and a columnist for local print media, was killed from firearms near his home in Chilpancingo de los Bravo.
