Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos slammed for only filming Live With Kelly and Mark three days a week

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are facing more fury over their new show Live With Kelly and Mark – after it was revealed on Thursday morning that they only work three days a week.

Many viewers were left furious after the latest episode aired on ABC and the words ‘previously recorded’ flashed across the screen.

Since Live With Kelly and Mark never films live on Fridays and today’s was taped earlier in the week – that means two out of the five episodes this week were recorded in advance, despite the show having the word ‘live’ in its name.

And social media users were outraged by the news. One person raged on Twitter, ‘Three day a week contract, what a joke.’

‘Three day a week contract, what a joke,’ raged one person on Twitter. Someone else said, ‘It would be nice for the shows to actually be live and not prerecorded’

According to the show’s upcoming filming schedule, Kelly and Mark will indeed only be filming three days per week

‘It would be nice for the shows to actually be live and not prerecorded,’ said someone else.

Another disgruntled user wrote, ‘Fourth show and @kellymarklive already isn’t live. Why not just record five in one day and call it a week?’

A different tweet simply read, ‘Three days live, two pre-taped?’ 

According to the show’s upcoming filming schedule, Kelly and Mark will indeed only be filming three days per week.

The calendar shows them in studio on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week, and on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the week after that. 

Mark, 52, took over as co-host on the morning show following Ryan Seacrest’s departure last week, but the change has not gone over well on social media.

After their first episode together premiered on Monday morning, a slew of people took to social media to slam the pair’s ‘fake banter,’ calling them ‘cringey,’ ‘phony,’ and ‘inauthentic’ – and when Tuesday’s show aired, the backlash continued, with many viewers begging them to stop revealing intimate details about their marriage and packing on the PDA on air. 

More scrutiny came following yesterday’s episode, and today, the angry tweets continued to roll in.

‘Am I the only one watching this morning who thinks the banter between Kelly and Mark is boring?’ one viewer wrote during this morning’s show. ‘Zzzzzzzz.’

‘This is the beginning of the end. Nobody cares about your personal private lives,’ another added. 

‘The show is becoming creepy. The hand holding and the googly eyes. It’s very off putting.’

‘It’s just so weird. They seem very a unnatural, awkward, and enough of the PDA. It’s like they’re trying so hard to make it work and it’s just not hitting,’ read a third tweet.

‘I see Mark holding your hand, your wrist, your leg,’ someone else tweeted to Kelly. ‘Feels cringy like, “You’re mine.” The awkwardness is the hand holding and leg touching moments.’

Famous over-sharers Mark and Kelly, 52, who have been married for 27 years, have already revealed numerous intimate details about their romance and made a few jokes about their sex life during the first four days of their show.

On yesterdays episode, they even practiced couples yoga together during a visit from Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee, who created the company Yoga Shanti – and Kelly couldn’t help but make a very cheeky joke about it.

While discussing the exercise before-hand, she said she wanted to give it a try so she could make herself more ‘bendy’ – and Mark’s mind quickly went to a dirty place over her admission.

The two of them giggled as the viewers started cheering, and after a long moment of awkward silence, Kelly added, ‘I’m flexy but I’m not as flexible as I should be.’

Many viewers are not happy with how much the two have been sharing about their personal lives, with one person asking on Twitter after Tuesday’s episode, ‘Are you going to talk about your marriage and life at home all morning?’

Someone else said: ‘I’m sick of hearing about their perfect love, life, and family.’

Others have slammed the pair for discussing ‘mundane things’ rather than ‘real social and news issues’ – with some even calling for the series to be canceled after branding it as a ‘big fail’ and ‘painful’ to watch. 

Kelly has also faced backlash for ‘interrupting’ her husband on numerous occasions. 

‘I am so happy to see Mark and Kelly this morning… But Kelly, could you please let him talk? OMG,’ wrote one disgruntled viewer earlier this week.

‘Let him start and finish a story his way… It’s the only way it’s going to work.’ 

Another tweeted: ‘Every time Kelly interrupts Mark, take a shot.’

‘Kelly, please let Mark finish his sentences,’ someone else begged. ‘Otherwise, this is gonna be hard to watch every day.’ 

‘Kelly let Mark speak. Let the poor guy finish a sentence. It’s painful to watch,’ read a different tweet.
