Megan Thee Stallion gave a simplistic silhouette bold details at the 2023 MTV VMAs red carpet in Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday, looking to designer Brandon Blackwood for her black strapless dress.

The rapper’s custom gown featured bra-inserts and sheer paneling throughout. Her frock’s form-fit silhouette mirrored a dress manikin, with precise tailoring.

Underneath, the star opted for classic black panties and accessorized her outfit with shinning jewelry from Jacob and Co., including the brand’s Waterfall Choker.

Megan Thee Stallion recently delivered a standout style moment while performing at the 2023 Outside Lands Music Festival in August, where she went red in a custom look by Frolov. Working with the Ukrainian designer brand, the rapper’s outfit featured a corset bodysuit adorned in silver attachments on her chest.

On Monday, the rapper revealed her first-ever film “Dicks: The Musical,” which will be released in theaters on Sept. 29. Directed by Larry Charles, the film first premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday. The cast includes Nathan Lane, Bowen Yang and Joshua Sharp.

At this year’s MTV VMAs, Megan Thee Stallion will perform alongside Cardi B. This will mark the first live performance of their new single “Bongos,” which they unveiled on Friday. The dance-themed track is Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s latest collaborative single since the pair released “WAP” in 2020.

Since 1984, MTV’s Video Music Awards have celebrated the biggest artists of the year. The 40th VMAs, held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, are hosted by Nicki Minaj and feature a brand new category: Show of the Summer. Shakira will receive the coveted Video Vanguard Award, while P Diddy is being honored with the Global Icon Award.
