Oklahoma Sooners receive flurry of predictions to land 2024 4-Star Safety Jaydan Hardy

Oklahoma’s recruiting weekend has already paid huge dividends with the 2024 class. They received a commitment from four-star cornerback Jeremiah Newcombe and look to be gaining momentum for another four-star defensive back.

The Sooners look to be trending toward a commitment for 2024 four-star safety Jaydan Hardy.

Hardy, a safety out of Lewisville, Texas, is the No. 13 safety in the 247Sports composite and ranks No. 159 in the nation. He’s the No. 29 player in the state of Texas. Rivals and ESPN also list Hardy as a four-star prospect in the cycle.

After visiting Norman the Sooners received a trio of crystal ball predictions from 247Sports and a projection from On3.

247Sports Director of National Recruiting Steve Wiltfong issued a crystal ball prediction on Saturday afternoon. OUInsiders at 247Sports, Parker Thune and Brandon Drumm, followed suit later in the day with their own crystal ball predictions.

Getting in on the action on Sunday was On3’s Sam Spiegelman, who issued his own prediction Sunday evening.

Similarly to the recruitment of Jeremiah Newcombe and 2025 quarterback Kevin Sperry, the many predictions in such a short amount of time should bode well for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Hardy is a dynamic two-way player that will help whichever team he plays for on special teams as well. He’s got the athleticism to play all over the back end of the secondary.

After landing seven defensive backs in the class of 2023, Jay Valai and Brandon Hall have kept the momentum going as the Sooners look to rebuild and retool their secondary. With a commitment from Newcombe in hand, the Sooners turn their attention to closing on Jaydan Hardy and fellow 2024 defensive back Aaron Flowers.
