Society Awards, the premier designer and manufacturer of luxury custom and limited edition awards, announces that their annual scholarship, which they fund through the NAACP Scholarship Program, is now accepting applications. Society Awards show their continued support of the NAACP Scholarship Program by funding up to $8,000 towards the annual scholarship year after year.
The NAACP x Society Awards Scholarship is awarded to Black students or students of color who are interested in pursuing a career in the visual/performing arts fields, including film, theater, fashion, photography, graphic design, dance, music, journalism, and mass communication. Some criteria for the scholarship include: full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university in the United States; the student must be Black or a person of color; and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applications for the scholarship opened on April 17, 2023, and will close on May 21, 2023, at 11:59 pm EST. Scholarship recipients will be announced in the Summer of 2023 after applications are reviewed and scored by the Scholarship Committee. If selected, students will be notified through the Inspire scholarship portal. Decisions of the selection committee are final and cannot be appealed.
The NAACP x Society Awards Scholarship is one of many funding opportunities available to Black students and students of color through NAACP’s Inspire Initiatives.
