Post Malone has been lighting up Europe since his sold-out Twelve Carat Tour hit Europe in mid-April with the first stop in Norway.

Malone, real name Austin Richard Post, is currently in London for three sold-out shows at The O2 Arena with fans losing their minds as the rapper pours his all into every show.

Since day 1, Post Malone has been revered as one of the nicest, most likable people in the Music industry. He’s sold over 80 million records worldwide and has crushed it at the awards with 10 Billboard Music Awards wins, 3 American Music Awards, and 9 Grammy nominations.

Post Malone will now receive his most prestigious award yet as the Songwriters Hall of Fame in Los Angeles announced that Post is the 2023 recipient of the Hal David Starlight Award.

Post Malone to receive the 2023 Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award

First awarded in 2004 as the Starlight Award and renamed to the Hal David Starlight Award in 2006, this award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame is awarded to the industry’s young star who shines the brightest.

This Songwriters Hall of Fame Award is awarded to “gifted songwriters who are at an apex in their careers and are making a significant impact in the music industry via their original songs.”

Previous recipients of the Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award include Alicia Keys, John Mayer, John Legend, Taylor Swift, Drake, Ed Sheeran, and others.

Post Malone’s career began (in earnest) in 2011. And in the past 12 years, he’s become a household name.

Along the way, Posty broke the record for the most RIAA Diamond-certified singles from a single artist with 8 RIAA Diamond-certified singles. That record was previously held by Bruno Mars with 6. The sky’s the limit for Malone.

His 8 RIAA diamond-certified singles include ‘White Iverson’, ‘Congratulations’, ‘I Fall Apart’, ‘Rockstar’, ‘Psycho’, ‘Better Now’, ‘Sunflower’, and ‘Circles.

‘Sunflower’ featuring Swae Lee has the most views on YouTube with over 2 billion alone:

His YouTube channel has 13,975,108,179 views and counting.

This award is an incredible honor for an artist who is just 27 years old.

In addition to being an incredibly gifted songwriter, Malone also has a knack for putting his own emotional spin on classic songs like Pearl Jam’s ‘Better Man’. He really is a complete artist:

It remains to be seen of the Songwriters Hall of Fame knows that Post Malone writes most of his lyrics while sitting on the toilet. If they aren’t aware, it’s possible he addresses that in his recipient’s speech.

Tickets to the event will be available for purchase on the Songwriters Hall of Fame website but they start at $2,000 each…
