Who does FAU play next in the Final Four of March Madness?

The No. 9 seed Florida Atlantic Owls are heading to the Final Four after their win over Kansas State. Here’s who FAU will play next in March Madness.

This March has truly been madness in college basketball. In the 2023 men’s NCAA Tournament, there have been countless upsets and incredible moments. It started with 68 teams, and it is narrowing down to four teams.

One of the Final Four teams in the big tourney is none other than the No. 9 seed FAU Owls.

On Saturday, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the Florida Atlantic Owls, fresh off of an upset win over the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers days earlier, pulled off another impressive victory, this time against the No. 3 Kansas State Wildcats.

The Owls held their own and pushed back a late Wildcats comeback attempt thanks in part to some clutch free throws to pick up the 79-76 victory.

The Owls continue dancing to Houston. But who will they be facing for a spot in the national championship game?

Who does FAU play next in the NCAA Tournament?

FAU will be playing the winner of the Elite Eight matchup between the No. 5 San Diego State Aztecs and the No. 6 Creighton Blue Jays.

San Diego State pulled off an upset of their own this week, knocking out the No. 1 seed and NCAA Tournament favorites in the Alabama Crimson Tide with a 71-64 win. By doing so, San Diego State is officially the first Mountain West men’s basketball team to make it into the Elite Eight.

As for Creighton, they eliminated a Cinderella team in the No. 15 Princeton Tigers with an 86-75 victory.

The Florida Atlantic Owls have never won an NCAA Tournament game in their program’s history prior to this year. They did so by beating the No. 8 Memphis Tigers. They then followed that up by beating No. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson, No. 4 Tennessee, and No. 3 Kansas State to make it to the Final Four.

An incredible run has led FAU to just two wins away from winning their first national championship.
