Zamna Reinforced the Festival as Tulum’s Premier Dance Music Experience In 2023 – EDM.com

Rivaling the likes of Ibiza and Mykonos, Tulum has cemented itself as one of the most coveted destinations for dance music hedonism. And Zamna Festival has played a pivotal role.

Landing in the jungles of Tulum on December 31st for a memorable NYE party and taking over the Mexican coastal town until January 14th, Zamna managed to enchant attendees nonstop with a slew of events and prestigious brand takeovers.

Since 207, the festival has been a staple in Tulum with its yearly takeover, attracting attendees from over 110 countries. This year was no different, with tens of thousands of fans flocking to the paradisal Quintana Roo jungle to take in performances and DJ sets from a number of the scene’s most celebrated acts.

ARTBAT’s Upperground imprint kicked off Zamna Festival on New Year’s Eve with an impressive event that featured three stages and an immersive set from the techno duo, who were joined by Agents Of Time, Shall Ocin, Stephan Jolk and more. ARTBAT returned to Zamna on the following day for Renaissance Tulum before Michael Bibi presented Elovate on January 2nd with support from Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler and Layla Benitez.

Zamna favorites Tale Of Us made their anticipated return on January 4th, showcasing their mind-bending visuals and the ethereal techno sound of their Afterlife imprint across three stages, with performances from Mind Against, Adam Port, Massano, Chris Avantgarde and many more.

Ibiza’s leading Circoloco party also made its return to Tulum on January 6th, featuring three rooms and sets from BLOND:ISH, Seth Troxler, Âme and more. &ME, Tampa and Adam Port’s Keinemusik landed in Tulum for the very first time two days later before Diplo’s Higher Ground took over with sets from John Summit, Diplo, Solardo, LP Giobbi and Francis Mercier.

Black Coffee brought his intimate Afro-house sound back to Tulum on January 12th, joined by WhoMadeWho, Angelos, Desiree, Sona, and Themba.

A special takeover by Tomorrowland ultimately marked Zamna’s grand closing on January 14th. The fabled brand debuted its iconic CORE stage in Tulum, hosting sets from the likes of Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz, Vintage Culture, Cellini, Brian Knauss and more.

Zamna once again proved itself as Tulum’s premier electronic music festival in 2023. It couldn’t have been more successful.

And the scary part? The Zamna brand is continuously growing, with its next major takeover slated for this year’s Miami Music Week in March. Zamna will then head to Tomorrowland on Saturday, July 22nd, when they’ll host a stage at one of the world’s largest EDM festivals.
