2023 Farm-to-Fork Festival: Road closures, vendors, performers and everything else you need to know – KCRA Sacramento

The ever-popular Farm-to-Fork street festival returns this year to Sacramento, where visitors gather to celebrate locally grown food and drinks in the state’s Capitol City. Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s festival and live music performances: WHEN IS THE FESTIVAL HAPPENING?The 2023 Farm-to-Fork Festival is happening on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22-23. On Friday, the festival runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday, it runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL HAPPENING? The festival happens along Capitol Mall in downtown Sacramento. Entrance into the festival is at Fourth and N streets, Fifth and L streets, Seventh Street and Capitol Mall. HOW DO I GET THERE? If you decide to drive to the festival, there are several parking garages surrounding Capitol Mall. You can reserve a spot here. A free bike valet will be available for visitors. Sacramento Regional Transit will also be offering free bus and light rail train rides to and from the Festival. Visitors will have to show this flyer to get the deal. ARE THERE ANY ROAD CLOSURES? Yes. Roads are closed on Capitol Mall from Third to Eighth streets. According to Sacramento police, road closures begin early Friday morning and will reopen around 2 a.m. Sunday. Traffic is expected to be heavily impacted and drivers are being told to plan accordingly. Along with the festival, a Maná concert happening at the Golden 1 Center will impact traffic even further on Saturday, along with a Kali Uchis concert on Sunday.HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET IN? Getting into the festival is free. However, there are two events at the festival that require tickets for entrance. On Friday, 20 chefs participating in “The Grand Tasting: 10 Years of Farm to Fork” will cook a food experience for attendees from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets for this event will run you $125 per person. Then on Saturday, the “Farm x Fire x Fork with Tyler Florence” will combine music, beer tasting and food made by Food Network star Tyler Florence. Tickets for this event cost $150.More details here. WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE? A wide range of food vendors will be available at the festival, from BBQ to Mexican food to sweet treats from all types of bakeries. Several coffee vendors will be at the festival.Adults can enjoy wines from wineries across the region, and can even stop by the Sky River Casino Bar to pick up a cocktail.
