Bill Murray, 72, and Kelis, 44, SPLIT after two months of dating: ‘Things just ran their course’ – Daily Mail

After a two-month summer romance, Bill Murray and Kelis have split. 

The 72-year-old Ghostbusters star wasn’t the one to end it, according to The Sun. 

A source informed the outlet that it was the 44-year-old Milkshake singer that ultimately decided to pull the plug. 

However, the breakup was amicable, per the insider, who said, ‘Kelis and Bill were — and still are — very fond of each other but things just ran their course.’ 

They added, ‘They both have busy schedules and after a whirlwind romance decided to go their separate ways.’ 

The Harlem-born beauty previously addressed her rumored relationship with the Groundhog Day star back in June when a fan on Instagram asked her, ‘Ma’am would you care to address these Bill Murray allegations?’ 

The fan joked, ‘Cuz damn! What he doing with all that?’

Staying vague in her response, the Bossy singer replied, ‘Lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.’ 

According to the insider, ‘They hope to remain friends but also plan to get on with their lives,’ following their August split. 

The romance reportedly started after the death of the Midnight Snacks’s singer’s second husband, Mike Mora — who tragically passed away from stomach cancer in March 2022. 

The Caddyshack star was allegedly spotted joining Kelis on her recent summer tour, where the May/December romance began. 

Per the same anonymous source, ‘Whatever brought them together, they are both single and having fun despite the fairly big age gap.’

The Charlie’s Angels star apparently grew close to the Trick Me singer after a ‘chance meeting’ 

As fate would have it, the singing superstar was staying in the same hotel in London as the A-list actor when she was performing at the Hoopla Festival in June of this year. 

In another snarky Instagram exchange, the Good Stuff singer joked in response to the dating rumors that, ‘Everyone’s dumb and will believe anything.’ 

She added, ‘The best part is we are both blessed, rich, and happy.’ 

Bill, who hadn’t been married since 2008, recently lost his second ex-wife, Jennifer Butler, to cancer in 2021, a year before Mike passed away from cancer — so the pair grew closer in their grief. 

Although Bill and Jennifer hadn’t been together for years, the two reportedly kept in touch until her death.
