TECUMSEH — The Consumers Energy Foundation recently awarded the Tecumseh Center for the Arts a $5,000 grant to support the creation and installation of the new TCA Music Park on the theater’s property.

“The collaboration and support for the TCA Music Park has been incredible,” TCA director Kelly Jo Gilmore said in a news release from the TCA. “What started as a dream has become a reality thanks to the generous support of local foundations like Consumers Energy Foundation.”

TCA has raised $100,000 from local foundations, individual donors and the city of Tecumseh for the music park. The community will start to see progress during the months of May and June when concrete is poured, and landscaping is installed. The Consumers Energy Foundation grant will allow for the completion of the initial landscaping. A ribbon cutting is planned for later this summer, the release said.
