Controversial Congressman George Santos Randomly Reveals ‘Husband Matt’ While Commenting on Senator Feinstein’s Death

People are confused by the seemingly bizarre way George Santos decided to “hard launch” his relationship with his husband Matt.

The controversial Republican congressman from New York seemingly has never mentioned his husband in public before, but he decided to include him in a tweet while commenting on the death of Senator Dianne Feinstein.

“My husband Matt and I are heart broken by the news of the passing of Senator Feinstein. Sen. Feinstein was a trail blazer who dedicated over 30 years of service to her country. Our condolences to the Feinstein family as they grief this grave loss,” Santos wrote on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

Despite Santos not talking about his husband Matt in the media before, there has been some evidence of the relationship on the internet.

Social media users started looking into the marriage earlier this year and a Reuters article does mention Matt. There are even photos of him in the piece.

George has seemingly been caught in multiple lies since being elected, including about his family, work and educational history. He was even allegedly caught lying about his religious background and then claimed that he didn’t say he was Jewish but was “Jew-ish,” according to Reuters.

The openly gay politician has recently been called a hypocrite for his political beliefs and the controversial stance the Republican party has regarding the LGBTQ+ community after allegations arose that he performed as a drag queen years ago in Brazil.

After strongly denying that he had performed as a drag queen, TMZ reported that George did admit to dressing as a woman when he was “young” while still saying he wasn’t a drag queen.

“No, I was not a drag queen in Brazil,” he told photographers, seemingly admitting that he was in the photos circulating online. “I was young, and I had fun at a festival.”
