Hilarious lyrics to Erling Haaland rap music video have been translated in English… – talkSPORT

Before his record-breaking goalscoring days Erling Haaland tried his hand in a rap group alongside some childhood friends.

The little-known trio who went by the name ‘Flow Kingz’, produced home-made music videos in their native Norway, with one filmed in a children’s play area.

Their song ‘Kygo jo’ went viral shortly after Haaland made the switch from RB Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

The track performed alongside pals Erik Sandberg and Erik Botheim sees the Manchester City forward rapping whilst holding BBQ utensils whilst poking his head out of the window of a playhouse.

Sandberg and Botheim later went on to forge football careers for themselves, putting their rap careers on hold.

Unless you speak fluent Norwegian you will have little understanding of lyrics of the track but that hasn’t stopped the video gaining a whopping 11 million views on Youtube.

But now, the lyrics have been translated into English for us all to enjoy, even if Haaland’s verses sound a little odd.

The Lyrics go:

Erik Botheim: “Hello. How are you? I haven’t seen you lately. Have you gone astray? I’ve been making a song and I earned a thousand millions. By the way, I’ve also been buying a gas grill. If you were wondering I’ve also been to the store. I have been shopping a lot because I have a lot of cash. Of course, I’ll tell this to you my friend because I know that you don’t have too much money left.”

Erik Sandberg: “Yes, you can say that is nice. You did make my day, I’m very grateful for that. We are going to buy a mobile phone with subscription without a commitment period, which I will use during the whole day.”

Erling Haaland: “Boys can you stop talking bulls***, now it did get so cosy. Talk about world crisis, I think it is much more important. Boys I’m Lyng and everyone knows me. I’m the one that people can see on the TV. I even look good when I eat, I think that’s right.”

All three: “Kygo yes!”

Erik Botheim: “In the past I was outside and I ate Caesar salad. For such a big guy like me, I need good food. I also went to the Bahamas on a trip but I didn’t tell my wife so she got a bit angry. But I had a good time, it was so good. I would like to get back here and now but I have a lot to do in the office during the day. So let’s go out and get some food in our stomach.”

Erik Sandberg: “Yeah let’s do it. I’ll be happy to join. Let me take you to a wonderful, beautiful place. I don’t remember what it’s called but it’s on a summer mountain pasture. I don’t think it’s far, just a few miles. The last time I was there I saw something strange. It was strange that I couldn’t think clearly. But I’m not going to bother you with my boring story. Let’s listen to what Lyng says.”

Erling Haaland: “Yes but I can’t dance to Kygo.”

Erik Botheim: “You know what Lyng, me and Tommy will show you how to do it.”

Erling Haaland: “Make the music louder!”

Erik Botheim: “Yes, should we?”

Erik Sandberg: “Yes bro!”

All three: “Kygo yes!”

With some questionable song writing and unusual dance moves to match, the trio can put their music dreams down to a teenage experiment.

Luckily the three have all gone on to form careers in football rather than continuing their adventure as budding lyricists.
