Hoxworth Blood Center teams up with Cincinnati Music Hall for life-saving blood drive – WLWT Cincinnati

Happening Tuesday morning at Cincinnati Music Hall, Hoxworth Blood Center is teaming up with some local organizations to help save lives in the community.The “Lifesaving as an Art” blood drive is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Music Hall’s ballroom.Donors will receive a free FC Cincinnati “I Bleed Orange and Blue” t-shirt.There will also be live performances throughout the day, plus snacks and cookies for those who donate.Hoxworth Blood Center’s Public Information Officer Jackie Marschall says donating blood can help save lives. “Giving back one hour of your day is going to mean a lifetime for somebody else,” Marschall said. “Like literally one hour of your day can mean someone is celebrating another birthday with their family, and that’s how important it is. Like you’re really saving lives in our community. And that’s what we want to reiterate to our donors.” She says if it’s your first time donating, there’s nothing to worry about. “It’s a really impactful mission, and you’re going to walk out feeling really great and that’s really what we want to tell people who may have never donated, but also potential blood donors and people who have donated,” Marschall said. “You’re going to walk out feeling really great, and you’ve made an impact on lives here in our community.” If you’re interested in making a blood donation, please visit here.
