Israel war: Terrifying footage shows Hamas terroists holding Israeli toddlers during Saturday’s horror attack

A shocking propaganda video emerged last night purporting to show armed Gazan terrorists playing with Israeli children on the first day of the terror attack.

The footage – first published on a Hamas-backing Telegram social media channel – depicts masked gunmen rocking a baby in a pram, and playing and chatting with a young toddler.

The harrowing video was published with the caption: “Hamas fighters, showing compassion for children in the midst of the kibbutz battles on day one of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.”

The Daily Mail has been unable to independently verify the video or details such as where and when it was filmed.

But Hamas spokesman Bassem Naeem last night claimed that the video is “genuine”, without giving any other information.

The video was being widely shared on social media in the Middle East, to revulsion.

It is believed it is being used by Hamas as propaganda to try to show their humane treatment of Israeli children, a number of whom are among the estimated 150 hostages captured.

In Israel, the Jerusalem Post shared the video with the words: “Hamas released on Friday footage of terrorists holding Israeli toddlers and children on Saturday, during the mass infiltration and massacre of Israelis.”

Others accused Hamas of using the youngsters, at least one of which was just a few months old, as human shields. It is not known whether any of the children are still alive.

Last night extremism expert Anthony Glees said: “If this video is real then it is revolting, repugnant and sadistic beyond measure.

“It will remind many of the fake propaganda pictures that Nazis took of Jews pretending they were going to labour camps, when they were really going to the gas chambers.

“Imagine what relatives looking at this footage must feel like when they see their loved ones in these videos.”
