Kelly Clarkson shocks a street performer who doesn’t recognize her before she reveals her famous pipes – Daily Mail

Kelly Clarkson took a street performer in Las Vegas by surprise while on her way to soundcheck for her performance at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Festival.

The 41-year-old American Idol winner — who recently declared she is single — shared the funny moment with fans on Saturday when she posted a clip on Instagram.

Clarkson wrote in the caption to her 7.1 million followers, ‘I was on my way to soundcheck for @iHeartRadio tonight in Vegas and was tipping this incredible woman killing some Tina Turner and then she asked me to sing and had no clue who I was.’

She added, ‘And then it hit her, and it made my day! She gives the best hugs and sings her tail off! See ya tonight Vegas #iHeartFestival2023.’

Kelly appeared dressed down in the snippet, clad in a black baseball cap, leggings, and a long-sleeved shirt.

In the video Kelly lended her voice to a cover of the late Tina‘s 1984 smash What’s Love Got to Do With It.

It appeared that the lady, who was dressed in jeans and a black and white raglan T-shirt, only realized who Kelly was after listening to her sing a few bars of the tune.

The talk show host reemerged on the photo-sharing app later in the day to promote her upcoming performance.

Sharing a poster for the show, she wrote in the caption, ‘Vegas I’ll see you tonight! Stream the #iHeartFestival2023 LIVE on @Hulu at 7pm PT! #iHeartOnHulu @iHeartRadio.’

One day earlier Kelly discussed her love life as she interacted with fans on Instagram Live.

The singer, who finalized her divorce from talent manager Brandon Blackstock last year, dished that she is happily single.

‘Do I have a boyfriend? No! And not looking. You know why? I love being single,’ she announced.

The multihyphenate emphasized that she has a full house with ‘two kids, two dogs, three rabbits [and] a hamster.’

She also noted that she has ‘a lot going on’ professionally with her ‘multiple jobs.’ 

‘And, you know, you think you’re going to spend the rest of your life with somebody, and you don’t. That’s hard to start over,’ the Texas-bred musician reflected.

With the help of a therapist, however, she was able to overcome the difficult time.

Kelly and her ex-husband share two children — daughter River, 9, and son Remington, 7.
