Singer/songwriter Maribyrd kicked off the I Love BBQ and Music Festival’s musical lineup Friday afternoon at the North Elba Show Grounds in Lake Placid. The festival continues today and Sunday. She is touring the Adirondacks this weekend and will be playing today at the Saranac Lake farmers market (10 a.m.) and the Whiteface Chalet in Wilmington (6 p.m.) and Sunday at the Keene farmers market.

LAKE PLACID — The I Love BBQ and Music Festival in Lake Placid kicked off Friday and continues through Sunday. Along with savory food, the festival brings music, cornhole, BMX bike stunts, professional wrestling and demonstrations from the Paul Smith’s College woodsmen’s team. Barbecue teams from the U.S. and Canada will compete Sunday in the Kansas City Barbeque Society contest. The festival will be held at the North Elba Show Grounds on state Route 73.
