Liam Smith vs Chris Eubank Jr 2 date: Start time, undercard, PPV price, live stream and how to follow – grudge match suspended but new date set
Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr will lock horns again later this year after the fight was postponed for a second time.
The grudge match was rescheduled to take place on Saturday, July 1, after Smith requested a delay to recover from a minor hand injury, but he didn’t make enough progress, and the clash was suspended.
The initial tie produced a shock result as ‘Beefy’ dominated from the outset and knocked Eubank Jr out in round four.
Few people saw the fight playing out how it did and now the two will run it back in September.
The rematch was meant to take place in June but was pushed back to early July after Smith received medical advice to adjust his training camp to address an injury.
But barring any other setbacks for either fighter, this much-anticipated grudge match will finally happen.
Smith vs Eubank Jr: Date and how to follow

Smith vs Eubank Jr: What’s been said?
Smith’s promoter Ben Shalom said: “We’ve had the news on Liam Smith this week, really good news about his fitness, he’s 100 per cent fit for a date we were looking at.
“We’ve notified Wasserman that we believe Liam is 100 per cent
“I believe Chris wants a rematch, I believe he wants to fight Liam Smith, he’s talked about revenge, there is a reason he activated the rematch clause.
“Really excited because Liam Smith is in a stage of his career now where it would have been so difficult for him to have an injury.
“He’s getting better and better and better and can fight for a world title for the second time and become a two-time world champion.
“To get an injury at this stage in his career was heartbreaking and difficult, not just for the Eubank fight. The next 12 months could be really career defining for Liam Smith and the big big fights and the big nights to come.
“Eubank looks like will be the next one and then there are other huge fights out there. I know he wants to fight for a world title again.”
