Morgan Fairchild reveals her longtime fiancé Mark Seiler has died at 73: ‘I am devastated’ – Daily Mail

Morgan Fairchild is mourning the loss of her fiancé, who passed away on on July 7.

The actress, 73, who recently revealed that she had received two hip replacement surgeries, shared the news of his death in a warm remembrance on social media Friday.

‘#SadNews. I’m so sorry to let you know that my beloved life partner & fiancé, Mark Seiler, passed away last Friday,’ the General Hospital star wrote next to an undated photo from their early days together.

She continued: ‘He’d had Parkinson’s for several years, but it seems to be #longcovid that killed him after his 3rd infection.’

Referring to the man with whom she had spent more than three decades of her life, Fairchild recalled: ‘He was a warm, brilliant & very funny man, and I am devastated.’

She then advised her fans to ‘hold your loved ones close and please consider wearing a mask.’

The All Good Things actress has demonstrated her continued advocacy for wearing a mask in multiple postings on social media. 

‘I am Sending Love To You All,’ she said using her trademark sign off as she closed the mournful missive. 

Journalist Debra Roberts joined thousands of fans in sending condolences writing: ‘So very sorry for your loss. What joy he seemed to spark! May the memories sustain you.’

Actress Susan Blakely penned:’ Oh Morgan I am so sorry. I can’t imagine how difficult and painful this must be for you.’

Morgan and the met and began dating in 1980, and he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016.

The Days of Our Lives alum revealed that her partner was being treated in a nursing home in June 2020, the early months of the Covid pandemic while she remained home alone.

‘I’m very grateful that they haven’t had any cases there … [but] I’m just here.’ 

Although the couple had been engaged for a long time, Morgan was in no rush to walk down the aisle, telling the outlet: ‘It’s definitely a long-term commitment and we’ve been together for a long time … so we may just leave it the way it is right now. We’re both getting older.’

Morgan kept her private life to herself, and rarely posted any photos with Mark. 

She made the exception in May 2022, when the couple were enjoying some time out of the house. 

‘#OnMyWalk to lunch with my guy!’ she explained. ‘Always fun to have iced chocolate @bluestonelane with a nice breeze! Our masks are on the table.’
