Nation’s No. 1 linebacker Sammy Brown schedules Tennessee visit
Five-star linebacker Sammy Brown has scheduled a visit to Tennessee on April 8, according to Jeremy Johnson of On3 Sports.
The 6-foot-2.5, 225-pound linebacker is from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Georgia.
Brown is the No. 18 overall prospect in the class of 2024. He ranks as the No. 1 linebacker and No. 4 player in the state of Georgia, according to the On3 Sports industry rankings.
He was named the Georgia 5A Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American honors last season. Brown finished his junior season with 113 total tackles, 1,700 yards of total offense and 24 total touchdowns.
Brown is a three-time MaxPreps High School All-American selection. He also earned freshman and sophomore All-American honors during his first two seasons.
He has unofficially visited Tennessee four times over the past three years, including Sep. 24 as the Vols defeated Florida at Neyland Stadium.
