The Chatham County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion Friday to ban Savannah rap star Quando Rondo from Chatham County until he goes to trial.
In Friday’s filing, the state lays out a number of shooting incidents where Rondo, or members of his entourage, were believed to be the target.
The most recent shooting was the one on Sept. 20 on Skidaway Road.
According to prosecutors, a group of people shot at another group that included Rondo.
The state says nearly 30 shell casings were recovered from the scene and nearly four firearms were used in the attack, including an AR-15 assault rifle.
In May 2021, Rondo was at a gas station in Blackshear with members of his entourage when he was shot at several times.
Then, in August 2022, Rondo was in Los Angeles with Saviay’a Robinson, traveling together in a car when they were shot at.
Robinson died as a result.

Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Bowman, was arrested in June on charges he violated Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism Act but was granted bond so he could continue working.
The District Attorney’s Office is trying to have that bond modified to keep him from entering Chatham County, saying his presence poses a danger to the citizens.
“These incidents show that there are individuals or groups of individuals that are actively seeking to harm the defendant,” the filing states. “The assailants have time and again indicated that they have no respect for the lives of other humans, including members of the Chatham County Community.”
The state argues that Bowman lives in Midway, so there is no known reason for him to be allowed in Chatham County.
Bowman is due back in court in late November.
