Red Bull announce huge East London rap battle hosted by Unknown T – My London
Red Bull is hosting a new competition project to celebrate up-and-coming rappers and MCs. The competition will take place in the well-established club E1.
Red Bull Raise The Bar has invited eight MCs from London’s grassroot communities alongside special guest curator Unknown T. The first edition of the competition will take place at E1 on Thursday, October 12.
Qualifying MCs will go bar-for-bar love on stage to rap, grime, and drill beats. They’ll battle in front of a live audience as the crowd votes for their favourites based on lyrical dexterity, versatility, flow and energy.

Industrial-style venue E1 has cemented itself as East London’s premier dance venue. They host EDM parties and events, and say they offer “the full spectrum of dance music culture”.
Unknown T will also do a special guest performance. The East London rapper shot to fame in 2018 with his club banger Homerton B. He has since continued his rise through the rap ranks with freestyles and mixtapes. His post release album Rise Above Hate from 2020 was a major hit on the UK music scene, reaching the top of the charts in its first couple of weeks.

Red Bull UK and Unknown T have invited eight MCs who have been making waves across their respective regions in London who will be announced on the night. Unknown T is known within the drill community for his 98s collective and his exciting collaborations.
The whole evening will be hosted by Mr I Am Next, who will be joined by DJ Jeeniius who will provide the tracks for the MCs. Tickets for Red Bull Raise The Bar are available from the event’s website.
