Nick Cannon and Nicole Murphy are ‘praying’ for Jamie Foxx after mystery ‘medical complication’

YFOY founder-CEO Nicole Murphy is ‘praying’ for Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, who’s still being hospitalized in Georgia after suffering a mysterious ‘medical complication’ on April 11.

‘We love Jamie,’ the 55-year-old ex-wife of Eddie Murphy – who’s known the 55-year-old Texan for decades – told People on Sunday.

‘You know, he’s so talented and he’s an iconic person. He’s just amazing. He’s like a brother to me, and I adore him. I really pray that everything works out for the best for him.’

Also praying for Jamie is The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon, who’s literally been sharing Bible passages on Instagram in honor of ‘my big brother.’

‘I know he’s doing so much better because I’m actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favor,’ the 42-year-old father-of-12 told ET over the weekend.

‘I can’t really say what [the favor] is, but it’ll be out there soon. I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it’s a beautiful thing. He’s awake. They say he’s alert, so, we love it. That’s family right there.’

Last Friday, People spoke with a source who confirmed Foxx (born Eric Bishop) was ‘awake and alert’ in a ‘Georgia medical facility,’ but ‘doctors are running tests and keeping him under observation.’

When the Day Shift producer-star came down with the serious illness, he was technically not on the Atlanta set of his Netflix comedy Back in Action.

Jamie only had eight days left of filming on director Seth Gordon’s project, but producers decided to wrap production last week using his stunt double Travis Parker and stand-in Julz West – according to TMZ.

Cameron Diaz famously came out of retirement to make her acting comeback in Back in Action – which also stars Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson.

Foxx – a life-long bachelor – is father to daughter Anelise Bishop with former publicist Kristin Grannis.

The Grammy winner has shared a couple of videos of the not-so-typical 14-year-old impressively playing bass guitar during family jam sessions.

Jamie is also father to daughter Corinne Foxx with Air Force veteran Connie Kline.

The Brown Sugar Bourbon owner will also voice a Boston Terrier called Bug in Josh Greenbaum’s canine comedy Strays – hitting US/UK theaters June 9 – alongside Will Ferrell, Will Forte, Isla Fisher, Randall Park, Josh Gad, and Sofia Vergara.

Meanwhile, Jamie’s long-delayed feature directorial debut All-Star Weekend he shot in 2019 with Jeremy Piven, Eva Longoria, and DJ Khaled has yet to see the light of day.
