A cantora Paula Abdul entrou com uma ação judicial contra o produtor executivo de ‘American Idol’ e co-juiz de ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, Nigel Lithgow, por suposto assédio sexual, assédio verbal e intimidação. Segundo relatos, em seu processo, Paula afirma que o primeiro incidente ocorreu durante a temporada do ‘American Idol’, quando ‘uma noite, após as audições do dia, Lithgow e Abdul entraram no elevador do hotel onde estavam hospedados. Ao entrar no elevador, Lithgow empurrou Abdul contra a parede, agarrou seus órgãos genitais e seios e começou a enfiar a língua em sua garganta.
