The tanker in the Suez Canal was refloated, navigation restored

The Singapore-flagged tanker in the Suez Canal was refloated, navigation restored, TASS reports citing local media.

Earlier it was reported that the tanker blocked traffic on the channel.

On March 23, the container ship Ever Given ran aground in the southern part of the Suez Canal, due to which the movement of ships in both directions was completely blocked. On the night of March 28, an attempt was made to refloat the ship at high tide, but it failed. A traffic jam of cargo ships waiting in line to enter the canal was visible 65 km from the southern entrance.
